I thought it was a great movie with a good storyline about a girl with a dream of making it big, helping out those who can't have that life. Yes, a little predictable at times, but the thought was there. The movie faced a lot of issues, from drug use and dealing to just generally believing in your dreams and no movie is complete without the fairytale love story. The dancing was awesome and Jessica Alba was amazing as Honey Daniels. People will give up their dreams if things don't turn out the way they wanted them to, but Honey stuck by hers and accomplished something she'd always wanted to. I think she is an inspiration for many.

What a great film to inspire hope to young people all over the world. Such a great script showing that young people can make a difference and can be the ones who change the world. Actually they are the only ones who can change the world, if it's not for them then the world will never become a better place and I think this film is right up that alley of inspiring hope and positive thinking for the future generations! Jessica is great she does an awesome job. Like always she looks hot and totally inspiring. I think her acting is getting better and better. Keep on going on girl. The story is simple but powerful and shows that it takes only one to change the world, and it makes you wanna be that one! A 10!

Wonderful Romance – Better and Better than Webster's and American Heritage Dictionaries,

In 1936, the expatriated young and naive just-graduated British John Truscott (Hugh Dancy) arrives to the Sarawak, a British colony, to work in the Iban society. The beautiful Selima (Jessica Alba) is assigned to be his "sleeping dictionary", to live and sleep with him and teach him the language and habits of the locals. The reluctant John and Selima fall in love for each other in a forbidden romance.
What a magnificent surprise "The Sleeping Dictionary" was for me, indeed a wonderful romance, with action and drama and an adorable story of difference of cultures, seduction and secrets. Jessica Alba and Hugh Dancy have stunning performances, showing a delightful chemistry. Brenda Blethyn and Bob Hoskins are excellent, as usual, and Noah Taylor, as the nasty Neville, Emily Mortimer, as the sweet Cecil and Eugene Salleh, as Belansai, are also fantastic. Certainly, Jessica Alba is better and better than Webster's and American Heritage Dictionaries. Definitely, "The Sleeping Dictionary" is a must-see movie for any sensitive audience. My vote is ten.

Not that bad Nor confusing for me.,

This movie was not hard for me to fallow at all. Jessic alba was smokin hot but should could of acted better. Her acting however, did not affect my suspension of disbelief in the story. Although, I am easily immersed.
I have decided to point out where others on this film are stuck. for me it is obvious that Chloe was being drugged and raped. They weren't keeping her hostage because she saw a video tape. They were keeping her there to rape her. The movie never shows the raping. The lady in the tape was not Chloe but Ned's wife. What the movie didn't show was in the video tape where Chloe says, "stop I'm tired. No, I want to go to sleep." She is getting raped with the use of a drug like roofies. The Ironic part of the story is Chloe's first stalker was the man who help free her from the psychotic musician Stan. During the movie it might be hard to follow because there are 3 stalkers and they are all stalking her about the same time. Gordon peaks at her through the peep whole while her friend toby calls her up and hangs up. The stalker across the street also calls her and hangs up. The two stalkers are the only ones that have plots still open. I think everything else is just character development not a sub-plot. (there not meant to be solved)
